Trump family-backed American Bitcoin (ABTC) announced the purchase of 11,298 ASIC miners on Tuesday, bucking the industry trend of pivoting toward AI infrastructure. Operating through CKPool, the miner spent approximately $75 (119,000 satoshis) to rent 1 PH/s of computing power, successfully securing the 3.125 BTC block reward. Valued at over $200,000 at current prices, this stroke of luck highlights the potential of independent mining even in an era of massive institutional dominance.
